A new sister event: a cultural festival in the heart of Peterborough city centre, celebrating Eid al-Adha with the whole city.
Inspired by, and complementary to, the long-running prayer gathering at Central Park, Eid in the Square brings the warmth and hospitality of Peterborough's Muslim community into Cathedral Square, open to residents of every background.
A free, family-friendly afternoon of food, music, workshops and welcome. This is a cultural festival, not a prayer event. Expect halal food stalls, a market bazaar, nasheed performances on stage, a children's zone, henna and calligraphy, a community art wall, and a free chai and dates welcome for anyone walking through.
